Boro Style Stitched Bandana Workshop
Saturday, June 21, 2025
9am- Midday
This workshop is loosely based on the techniques of Boro Stitching where scraps of fabric are overstitched and layered onto a base to create a new patched panel.
Boro" translates to "tattered" or "repaired" in Japanese, reflecting the practice's focus on repurposing and extending the life of textiles.
We have created a shaped bandana scarf with a pieced bound edge.
This project will not be the completed as part of the class as the stitching can take some time, but we will instruct you on how to best lay out your pieces, the process of stitching them down and how to construct and apply your bound edge by hand.
The fabrics you will receive in the workshop will be a random selection of blue scraps to apply to your supplied base, a ball of Perle 8 thread and a needle.
$60 with all materials included.
Book your spot on in the classes section on the website.
