This is an all day workshop where students are taught how to create a pattern from their favourite garment. Bring along a favourite garment (skirt, shirt, dress, pants...) and learn how to take a pattern from it so you can reproduce it. You may also want to tweak the garment (eg.long sleeves to short sleeves) so we will also spend some time looking at different necklines, sleeves, pockets etc. ** Please bring 2 garments with you so you and Nola can assess which is best to complete in the time allocated. Please avoid jackets, shirred garments, and draped styles. Pleated is probably ok - as long as it is not from pleated fabric (ie. knife pleats are in the fabric not the pattern / box pleats are in the pattern.
Students must supply the following: A Notebook / Ruler & Tape Measures / Pencils, pencil sharpener and eraser / Stapler / Masking Tape / Textas.
Pattern making cardboard and pattern paper will be supplied as part of the class.
This class is small and Nola will be on hand to help and guide you along the way.
There will be a lunch break half way through. Lunch is available from the many local cafes or byo.
